What to Pack for a Perfect Day at Topsail Beach

You do not need to bring the heavy stuff

If you are renting from Beach Bliss, cross chairs, umbrella, and shade structure off your list. We handle all of that. This means your car is lighter and your walk to the beach is shorter.

Sun protection and water

Sunscreen (SPF 30+, reef-safe), a rash guard or UV shirt for the kids, hats and sunglasses. Bring more water than you think you need — a gallon per person per beach day is a solid rule for hot summer days on the NC coast.

Food and snacks

Most Topsail access points are a short drive from grocery stores and delis. Pack a soft cooler with sandwiches, fruit, and plenty of cold water. Surfside Deli in Surf City and local grocery stores have great grab-and-go options.

Beach towels and a dry bag

Two towels per person (one for the beach, one dry for the ride home). A dry bag or zip-lock bag for phones, keys, and anything that can't get wet.

Entertainment

If you add our Games Package to your rental, you are set for corn hole, paddleball, bocce, and ring toss. For music, bring a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. For the kids, a bucket and shovel — the simplest toys always win.
